What is minnesota swarm?

The Minnesota Swarm was a professional lacrosse team based in St. Paul, Minnesota that played in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) from 2005 to 2015. The team played its home games at the Xcel Energy Center and was owned by the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League. The Swarm won the NLL's Western Division title in 2009 and 2013 and reached the league finals in 2012. The team disbanded after the 2015 season and was replaced by the expansion Minnesota Swarm, which joined the NLL in 2018.
